Ambassadors and diplomats from Pacific Islands Embassies in Beijing attends MFA organised briefing on China- Pacific Multilateral Cooperation Centers / Samoa Embassy Beijing / By Gabrielle Ambassador Luamanuvae Albert Mariner and staff from the Samoa Embassy in Beijing attended a MFA organised briefing on the China-Pacific Multilateral Cooperation Platforms that was held in Nanjing on 16 June 2026. The meeting was chaired by China's Special Envoy to the Pacific Islands, H.E Ambassador Qian Bo. The briefing provided an update on the work carried out by the multilateral platforms in climate change, poverty alleviation, emergency supplies and disaster recovery, police training and cooperation, and in agriculture and fisheries. Ambassador Mariner during his remarks acknowledged China's commitment to support Samoa and the Pacific region's development priorities through the work of these multilateral cooperation platforms.
